So I am starting a Name And Shame Campaign on this blog.

Lol where exactly are the scripts?
All it shows is someone building stalls.
lol stalls built one by one, inn column, top vs bottom. 4 comps at the meantime, but this last is a side matter after all. It is a script for evident reasons, odd that so many xperienced players always reaady to see scripts where they are not, do not want to see this one. A simple question: having free lands disposable, would you build one by one going in column or 10 lands each time going in rows?
PS: i have seen it so many times in action that it's become a boring show
So... what you're saying is they should do what your script does and build in 7x7 blocks but randomly instead of rows ;)
anon, what you say is bullshit and you know ;)
FYI flf is currently scripting Melbourne as I type ;)
You know you're acripting even if you don't want to admit it in public.
my 2p, just because YOU call it a script does not make it so...
There are a few comments I'd like to make about this blog in particular.
1. When you use a single tabbed browser for example in Internet Explorer's previous versions, and many other single tabbed browsers, that is exactly what an onlooker would see, a company building 1 plot at a time. (This was how the original game was played, before Crazy Browser and Maxthon become popular with the community.
2. In your video you never showed us all of the companies building at once, so there is no evidence for that claim. The land could have been claimed one company at a time, with the rest remaining online during the 40 min "appear online" period.
It is hardly an issue of concern, especially since it is entirely possible that as many as four players were building at the same time, or even as few as two.
3. You can't simply post videos and pictures of companies when you have no real proof of what is being done, bringing it to Alex's attention is the first part, and that is through e-mail, by bringing it into the public view you undermine the existing game, by showing new players it isn't worthwhile playing as it may be (according to you) full of cheats.
After bringing it to the attention of the games team it is for them to decide whether it was or was not cheating. I for example have witnessed your companies on many occassions acting dubiously and have not started up a blog making accusations, perhaps you should follow the lead, and simply report rather than bringing accusations and questionable activities on your part to the forefront of the debate. (For example your use of the nmbraaga and other companies, appearing online at the same time to destroy and sell to state over a quarter of the map in a matter of minutes - not to say I'm accusing you of scripting but you see what happens when questionable activites are brought to public rather than through the correct avenues).
My final point is in regards to your friend DDogs post on the forums, if anyone was causing detriment to the game, it is the players who have quit and resort to using their existing onshore to bomb maps - that is what causes the most damage to the game, resulting in an ever diminishing user base for the game.
Perhaps it is the reps intentions to leave netropolis in ruins so users migrate to their version of repopolis, but all these combined factors, players cheating, reps abusing their power, and people accusing everyone of doing the untoward is certainly not good for the game, especially when there are still so many players playing.
Granted they may not own 20+ whole maps as you and others did, but that is because they do not have access to programs and scripts to aid their company management. The maps are still filled, with new players finally getting a chance to make the move from towns to owning city land.
But, unfortunately there are those who do not want the game to be a success and instead choose to ruin it by making players leave through the use of their scripts (or manual bombs even that truly is the case), their cash and their ill intentions.
In my opinion the first steps to a better game would be the removal of repopolis as it undermines the current game, changes suggested there should be used in Netropolis, unless of course Repopolis is the development stage for Netropolis 3 - (in which case upon completion is should be given to a third party such as Tiscali rather than under the control of the reps).
Secondly the unoffical forums should be removed, and placed back at Tiscali, only a handful of people led the rebellion against Tiscali, and it should never have moved in my opinion.
The move back would give an advertising arena to other Tiscali users, as well as giving the game credibility.
The final change would be a zero tolerance policy for those caught cheating, perhaps not as severe as immediate deletion (as this results in a reduced user base) but an automatic removal of lands and/or onshore/offshore, should the abuse of the game continue then the particular companies should be removed.
In this way the game can be revived, perhaps not to the levels it once was 10 years ago, but non-the-less better than it currently is.
Scripting in places like melbourne have been going on for months. I have kept a low profile and not mentioned them in any place, if not in private convos. But it seems that nothing happens if havoc isn't caused. This the reason i am posting what happens. Plain as it is. I am putting my name on what i post, so ready to discuss with whoever.
Your is a very brilliant comment, you should have signed it.
