I usually surf the web to find something to spend my free time, so i found this great new game:

The story behind the game is very simple: two opposite groups are fighting to take control of a planet: the evil Templars and the wise, noble, heroic Paladines...
Being the game free (there's VIP option that, if purchased, gives you more features), i went through the sign-up process...
I obvioulsy (grin...) choosed to be a Templar, and in the next step i customized my character picking my mask and my shifter colour.

Few clicks more and I was ready to enter this wonderful MMORPG game...

Dear Quincy,
After you noticed those broken HQs in Hobart, i just wiped away that map on a saturday morning.
Previous owners lost it and i grabbed some plots just to make everyone know that I was there and watching.
After that, some comps tagged as ALCA, came in hobart and started firebombing the place.
Not that I was interested in, but I found some interestin memos in my little landholder mailbox:

Olympus is always a good place to look at: due to its unexistant security / police, it's not so rare to see war in there.
As it often happens, all started yesterday during the police strike day, when all the map was heavily bombed and went completely dero:











Current landowners rebuilt it all nightime but in the early morning the same bomber offered an unexpected replica, destroying the whole place again.
Nothing new, and i would have lost immediately interest in it but landowners went mad and started trying to build stalls and hot dogs stands - trying to type a very original phrase (I am 99% sure that it was "Karl scripts"); they did not succeed in completing their task though, couse the bomber(s) started destroying their buildings.
At the beginning, all letters went bombed but at a certain point the bomber(s) became smarter, and in the end the map showed a very amusing grapphity:









Then was the bomber(s) turn to write down the map epitaph:










Just few final notes:

1. bombing was 99,99999% manual, very fast but nothing that made me think of a script....
2. defending was 99% manual, even if 4 comps working online at the same time can always look suspicious
3. as usual, someone (I know who you are) did not lose the opportunity to accuse Karl and/or me to be the fraudolent author(s) of the mess (Little Twirp manni is exhaustive...)
Not that this scares me at all (as I said, bombing was manual...)... in any case, you could easily ask around to find out if that comp is in any way related to us...


I can always join the bombing crew, if needed....

Dear QH, i was bombing in melly and torched the map as u can see in the following screenshot:




After i finished bombing and the whole place was all on fire, all landholders had negative monthly profit, some of them around -150k.

Bogota

This the message I received from an old USA friend:




"This 10 mins after 8 nukes landed!"



The pic and the alarmed tone of the letter made me took the decision: Q
had to be informed immediately, there was no time to waste!

I found QuincyHolmes in a little cottage close to the sea.
I thought he should have been surprised to see me invading his privacy without any previous warning, but not as much as i was, when he anticipated my words and stated:"I see that something alarmed you, my old friend... is it related to our fellow on the other side of the Ocean?"
I had not the time to ask how the hell he was aware that his help was needed in the USA, but with the corner of my eye i noticed that his bags were packed close to the table.
The day after, we entered Washington DC. I could not believe my eyes when i noticed the big warning at the door:







but Mr Holmes seemed not impressioned at all.
After a very short siesta at the Melrose Hotel, a luxurious oasis in the heart of one of the world's fastest-paced cities, we received a message by our american friend, inviting us to reach him immediately.

Cluster Bombs: Resolution Approved in Dublin

Representatives of more than 100 countries have approved a draft treaty to ban the global use of cluster bombs. Although the United States, China and Russia are not part of the agreement, campaigners hope they will eventually sign on.
The world's three largest military powers, China, Russia and the United States, along with other countries that have used cluster bombs such as Pakistan and Israel, were not represented at the conference in Dublin.
But Thomas Nash of the Cluster Munitions Coalition, an umbrella body campaigning for a ban on the weapons is hoping the Dublin deal will spell the end for their use.
"We believe that this treaty is going to stigmatize this weapon so completely and so strongly that countries such as the United States, Russia and China simply will not be willing to pay the political price of using them and facing the public opprobrium that will come with any use in the future," Nash said.
At the beginning of the conference, Britain was seen as one of the countries that would oppose a comprehensive ban. But during the meeting, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said his government had issued instructions in support of the ban of all cluster bombs.
Mr. Brown said the agreement announced late Wednesday was in line with British interests and values, and makes the world a safer place.
A U.S. statement said, "While the United States shares the humanitarian concerns of those in Dublin, cluster munitions have demonstrated military utility, and their elimination from U.S. stockpiles would put the lives of our soldiers and those of our coalition partners at risk."
Cluster munitions are deployed from the air or ground. They release dozens or hundreds of smaller bomblets and grenades. Many of them fail to detonate on impact and become anti-personnel mines that will kill and maim long after the conflict has ended.
The International Committee of the Red Cross is one of many humanitarian groups that campaigned for a total ban. The organization was represented in Dublin and its spokesman, Peter Herby, told VOA the ICRC has dealt first-hand with the consequences of cluster bombs in Indochina, Afghanistan, Lebanon and other places.
"We simply have seen too much damage, too much carnage among civilians caused by these weapons and we have decided it was time to intervene loudly and forcibly to ensure that they are simply eliminated, that they become prohibited just like chemical, biological weapons and anti-personnel land mines," Herby said.
The agreement brings to an end a process that began in Oslo, Norway in February 2007 when 46 nations agreed to prohibit cluster munitions. One-hundred-forty countries took part in subsequent meetings in Peru, Austria and New Zealand that saw the development of the treaty text.
Countries, including some not present in Dublin will sign the treaty in Oslo, in December. After signing, countries need to ratify it, usually through legislative approval for the treaty to be legally binding.
